Joined West Ham United after being released by Arsenal in the summer of 2008, elusive forward. Having arrived at Little Heath, the young forward from the Middle East caught the eye by scoring five goals in 23 league and cup appearances for Tony Carr's Under-18's in the 2008-09 season. He also turned out three times in the Barclays Premier Reserve League South, completing a full 90-minutes in a memorable 1-0 win at former club Arsenal
Abdellaoui is of Moroccan descent, the international played in a 5-0 victory trial practice match against Queens Park Rangers at Chadwell Heath 21st March 2002. Glenn Roeder didn't take up the option to sign him.
After retiring as a player in 2004, he worked as a coach, and in August 2016 was working with the Dutch Willem II youth team.
Tony Charles George Ackerman was on the books of West Ham United as an amateur, and moved on to Orient. After a couple of appearances for the O's reserve team, Ackerman signed a professional contract with the Brisbane Road club on 28 October 1966.
Marios was with the Hammers for three years and he was offered an apprenticeship at the same time as Geoff Pike, but decided to decline the offer as his family were granted immigration to Canada. A sad Ron Greenwood sent him off with a nice reference letter and suggested he pursue his footballing career with his new hometown club in Toronto.
The local NSL semi-professional team in Toronto accepted Marios onto their playing staff, he even managed to sign on for the Canadian National team where he remained a regular for a number of years, going on to win 15 caps for his new country. Outside of football he finished his academics at University in Engineering.
Marios missed his time at West Ham, but very much valued the opportunity to represent his new country as an international!
World War One 'Guest' player who played one game in the London Combination against CHELSEA 15 March 1919

Ayo AKINSETE
Tony Carr Youth Director said that Ayo Akinsete was probably the success story of the players that were released in May 2003. Tony added that the Second year boy was released rather than failed because no one fails in the academy system, they just find the level where they are going to be comfortable.
"By coming through the system they are going to be better players and better people for it and it opens the door for them in other avenues. "This has happened to Ayo who is academically quite bright and I am pleased to say had the opportunity to go to America on a four-year football scholarship.

The 2017-18 campaign also saw Alese debut in Premier League 2 Division 1 in a goalless draw with Everton on 11 August 2017, and keep clean sheets on each of his first three starts.
At international level, he was capped three times at U16 level before graduating to the Young Lions' U17 squad in February 2018. Alese helped England to reach the semi-finals of the 2018 UEFA European U17 Championship finals, where they were edged out 6-5 by the Netherlands in a penalty shootout. The defender featured three times at the tournament, also starting the group-stage defeat by Switzerland and quarter-final win over Norway.

Gary George Alexander was a prolific striker at youth level and was in fact top scorer for two seasons.
He began his career with West Ham United, but his first taste of first team football came with a loan spell at Exeter City in the 1999–2000 season. Alexander scored 16 goals in 37 league games for the Grecians and although he was only on-loan to Exeter, became their Player of the Season. His form with Exeter convinced Swindon Town to sign him from West Ham for £300,000 on 11 July 2000.

Tony Carr's comment:
Ryan went by the nickname "Redbus" because he supported Charlton Athletic as a kid and that was the name of their sponsor. The fact that he supports Charlton means that he gets ribbed for it daily, but he's still a really committed young lad, a very good team player that we all think very highly of. Ryan's the type of player who will put his head in where it hurts and he's a tremendous little defender. He works really hard on the training pitch and we're hopeful that he might be able to push on and play regularly for the reserves."
The Second year Academy scholar was released in May 2006. Later played for Walton & Hersham, Sittingbourne, Thurrock and Alysbury United.

Defender Tunji Akinola joined West Ham United when he was just eight-years-old and has long been considered one of the Academy of Football's brightest prospects.
Tall and composed, Akinola is a ball-playing centre-back who was promoted to the U18 squad at the age of 15 and has already passed 50 appearances at U23 level.
Made his debut for West Ham United's U18 side while still an U15 schoolboy when he appeared at Everton on 29 March 2014. Made his debut for the Development Squad at the age of 16 on 6 February 2015, when he appeared in a 2-1 home win over Fulham.
Named captain of West Ham United U18s for the 2016-17 campaign. Crowned another promising season by starting the Premier League 2 Play-Off victories at Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United to secure promotion.
In 2000 he earned his nickname San Siro-Sven with a last-minute penalty save against Inter Milan. In a 2000-01 UEFA Champions League qualifier, Helsingborgs were leading 1-0 on aggregate from the first leg with the second leg delicately poised at 0-0. In the final minute Inter were awarded a penalty but Alvaro Recoba saw his effort saved by Andersson, and Helsingborgs qualified at Inter's expense.
In November 2001 he joined Premier League side West Ham United, but left the following summer having not made a first team appearance for the club.
Sven Andersson later became a goalkeeping coach with Helsingborgs IF.
Essex schoolboy. Very quick defender, who is equally at home on the left or right. Stevland featured in the 1999 FA Youth Cup win, turning professional in August 1999. He returned to West Ham after two months having made nine appearances for Bournemouth, but failed to break into the first team and was released at the end of the 2000–01 season. In July 2001, Angus joined Cambridge United on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract

Cheye started his career at his boyhood club, spending 10 years in the West Ham Academy. After leaving the Hammers, Alexander spent one year at Port Vale, and impressed in a loan spell at Ilkeston Town from December 2013.
Released by the Valiants in the summer of 2014, he joined Concord Rangers in September 2014 and moved onto fellow Conference South side Bishop’s Stortford two months and caught the attention of Aldershot following many good performances and he signed for the Hampshire club in 2015 where he went on to make 45 appearances.
Full-back Cheye Alexander arrived at Barnet in June 2018 off the back of three seasons at Aldershot Town, helping them to a play-off spot on two occasions. The 23-year-old, who is no stranger to the National League, penned a two-year deal with the club ahead of the 2018-19 season.
His play-off experience in the National League will undoubtedly help Barnet’s promotion aspirations.

Ashikodi began his career in the Millwall youth system. On 22 February 2003, he made his professional debut as a substitute in a 1–0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion. In doing so, at 15 years and 240 days, he became the youngest player to make a first team appearance for Millwall and the youngest player to make his Football League debut between 1988 and 2008.
He made a further four substitute appearances during the 2002–03 season, and was chosen by the club's youth academy staff as Millwall's Schoolboy of the Year award for a second successive season.
Ashikodi's career at Millwall effectively ended in February 2004 after a training ground incident that reportedly saw him threaten teammate Mark McCammon with a plastic knife. The club launched an investigation into the events, and on 29 April he left the club by mutual consent. A club statement read: "The disciplinary process has been concluded. We wish him the best of luck in his future career."
West Ham United
On 5 August 2004, Ashikodi joined Championship club West Ham United on a two-year contract after impressing during a trial. Manager Alan Pardew said: "Moses is getting a last chance with us. He is a major talent and, hopefully, he will have learned his lesson." However, he failed to make a first team appearance and was released at the end of the 2005–06 season.
